My name is Stephen Hale. I'm the head of digital for the Department of Health.
I blog here about how we do digital things at DH, and our efforts to make digital integral to the way the Department works. I aim to test ideas, share strategies, and report back on what has worked and what hasn’t.
These blogs are aimed mainly at the health and social care digital community, and the government web community. I hope that blogging will help me to build a network of people with useful things to say about digital, government and health.
I've done a few jobs in government, and I've blogged about what I've done quite a lot, some of which is now sits in the national archives: my blog about digital diplomacy.
Outside work I enjoy playing the double bass, eating cheese, playing cricket and growing leeks. I tweet (unofficially) as @hmshale.
