Digital has huge potential to transform the health and care system by improving services, supporting new models of care and enabling a more efficient use of resources that allows more time to be spent on those most in need.
The Department of Health digital team, working with colleagues across health and care, is helping to achieve that potential - We’re a small, friendly, multi-disciplinary team setting digital strategy, providing support and advice and assuring digital projects. We’re leading digital innovation – for example we played a key role in the NHS.UK project and are supporting a range of other exciting activity.
We’re looking to fill 3 roles in the team:
Head of digital strategy, standards and capability, a key leadership role setting our digital strategy, and overseeing our capability building and assurance work (this is a maternity cover and open to existing civil servants only).
Digital strategy and policy lead (digital standards), making sure digital spending across health and care meets the digital-by-default service standard and advising on cross-cutting policies, standards and approaches.
Associate product manager, overseeing and supporting a variety of digital projects across health and care.
